Use 你好 with almost anyone. Reply with the same phrase.

Subject + 叫 + name. Ask with 什么名字.
- 我叫李明。

吗 — yes/no questions
Statement + 吗？
Add 吗 at the end of a statement to ask a yes/no question.

Are you a teacher?

谢谢 / 不客气
谢谢 means thank you. A natural reply is 不客气.
